-Grad season starts this week as Brandon University’s Convocation’s 4 ceremonies go at the Healthy Living Centre; 559 graduates to be honored Thursday & Friday.
-BPS arrested the same man twice over the weekend – once for damaging a car and a second time for stealing a motorcycle. The first incident took place around 9 p.m. on Friday, the suspect was held overnight and released on Saturday with a court date of July 10. Then 7:25p, police were called to the 700 block of 19th Street for a motorcycle theft.
-The body of a 12-year-old boy, who went into the rapids at Sturgeon Falls in Whiteshell Provincial Park, has been recovered. Whitemouth RCMP say he was found at around 1:00 am this morning (May 29) by the police underwater recovery team. The investigation continues.
-Sea Bears win debut as professional basketball returns to Wpg; Sea Bears beat Vancouver 90 – 85 in front 7,000 at Canada Life Centre.

-A man’s body has been found in a drainage ditch near the ND/MB border, U.S. officials say. Sheriff’s office said an autopsy has been ordered and police are working to identify the man.
-Local teen a national chess champion as Martin Riquelme beat the top Grade 10 players in the country during tournament in Montreal.
