-Brandon police investigating a homicide from Sat morning downtown, with the suspect(s) responsible still being at large. A fight in the 700 block of Louise sent 1 man to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
-6:00 am this morning, BPS responded with BFES to a residential fire in the 100 block of 8th Street N, and although no reported injuries, police suspect the fire may have been started intentionally and continue to investigate.
-BPS also investigating assault & robbery by 4 men who jumped a man in his home in the 1100 block of 7th Street, after he answered his door.
-18 yr old man charged in Erickson attack appeared in court Fri, charged with the stabbing of Erickson resident Candace Richardson during a home invasion, and was remanded in custody. Carter Prince, of Erickson, has been charged with attempted murder, break & enter to commit an indictable offence & possession of a prohibited weapon.
-SPORTSPLEX ICE Closed until further notice. The City of Brandon announced Friday the Sportsplex ice plant will be shut down until early next year.
-WPS say two men in their 20s were attacked with bear spray & hatchet & sent to hospital after a convenience store robbery at McPhillips & Selkirk Avenue.
-Vegas Golden Knights are on the verge of a first Stanley Cup after beating Florida 3-2 in Game 4 Sat. Vegas leads the series 3-1 and can win cup on home ice Tues.
BACK after 4 long years. The Down Homer Lobsterfest finally returned to CFB Shilo Saturday with nearly 900 steaks and lobster served to a hungry bunch from across Southern Manitoba!
