-Red River Ex ramps up security to ensure safe family fun beginning Friday in Wpg. Last year the Ex had some turbulence when a young boy was caught in the crossfire of a shooting at the site.
-Wpg woman charged after a Unicity cab taking customers through the drive-through Sunday morning, was blocked and in a video circulating online, after the driver asked the woman to leave multiple times, she jumped onto the vehicle’s hood and kicked through the windshield, entering the front seat through the broken windshield, injuring herself in the process.

Treat Williams has died. The actor who received acclaim for his lead performance in the musical “Hair” and starred in The WB series “Everwood,” died Monday afternoon after being involved in a motorcycle accident near Dorset, Vt. He was 71. Williams’ death was confirmed by a statement by his family.
Pat Sajak is taking one last spin on “Wheel of Fortune.” The host announced Monday that its upcoming season will be his last as host after announcing his retirement from the game show in a tweet. “Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all,” the tweet said. The 76 year old has presided over the game show since 1981. He took over duties from Chuck Woolery, who was the show’s first host when it debuted in 1975.

Tim Horton’s is getting a credit card. The chain announced Wednesday it plans to launch its own credit card that’ll help loyal customers earn Tim’s Rewards Points faster to redeem for more free coffee, beverages, and food. Tims Financial — a new division of Tim Hortons — will launch the Tim’s credit card in the coming months, according to a news release. It’s a Mastercard with no annual fee that’s powered by Neo Financial, a financial technology company.
