HEAD for the BORDER. The International Peace Garden has introduced a feature on its website that describes what’s in bloom each week. It’s online guidance guidance on when the 80,000 plants that went in the ground over the last six weeks matured. Today is World Emoji Day! It is a day to celebrate all emojis and to use and spread the enjoyment of their use to others. July 17 was chosen because it was on that date in 2002 that iCal for Mac was announced. World Emoji Day was created in 2014 by Jeremy Burge, the founder of Emojipedia, a site that keeps track of all emojis and their definitions. According to emojipedia.org, an emoji is “a standardized set of characters that is available on iOS, Android, Windows and macOS. While the artwork for each emoji character varies by platform, the meaning of each symbol remains the same.” Today there are close to 5000 emojis. Some of our favorites are:

A cruise ship in Manitoba!?!?! Yes it happened. The luxury boat originating from Greenland made a stop in Churchill over the weekend, something that hasn’t happened in well over a decade. The Silver Endeavour, a 10-deck luxury polar cruise ship with a 200-passenger capacity, is a first for Churchill in 15 to 20 years. The World’s Largest Ship Named “Icon Of The Seas” sets sail in January 2024 and will carry 5610 passengers and 2350 crew members. It’s 5 times larger and heavier than the Titanic, weighing 250,800 tons, while the Titanic weighed 50,210 tons. It has 19 floors with more than 40 bars, restaurants and bowling alleys; it will have 6 slides, 7 swimming pools and 9 hot tubs. It promises more than 40 ways to dine, drink and entertain, many of them included in the cruise fare with each ticket costs $5,195 CAD!

STILL with CRUISES! Hallmark Channel fans are excited about the first-ever Christmas-themed cruise with all the channel’s holiday spirit is setting sail next year. The Hallmark Channel, known for its holiday season films, announced it will host a themed Christmas cruise that will set sail in November 2024. 4 night cruises departing from Miami will features Christmas décor, meet and greet with the stars, crafts, Christmas food and everything you could ever want in a “Christmas Cruise” minus the snow.

Another Hidden Camera Claim! ‘We had no idea if someone was actually watching us.’ A Woman sayd she found a Hidden Camera in Her Airbnb Rental. There have been quite a few viral stories lately about people finding hidden cameras, GPS trackers, AirTags, and all kinds of other surveillance gadgets in their cars, homes, and other places. And a woman took to TikTok and shared a video about how she and a friend found a hidden camera in a light fixture. But was it a camera?
