-Provincial & federal governments teaming up to invest $180M in MB child-care for 3,700 new licensed & funded spaces. 600 in Westman, including 216 at ACC’s North Hill campus, others spread out to school divisions in region.
-Westman 1st Nation set to start search of church site for potential unmarked graves. Minegoziibe Anishinabe, also known as Pine Creek FN starts search Monday.

OKTOBERFEST IS BACK! After a long absence, Oktoberfest returns to Shilo. The one day music, food and beer fest will be held at the Community Centre Annex (BLDG L-25) on Saturday, October 14. The doors open at 5:30, meal at 7pm and a live German band at 9pm. Tickets ($35ea) to the event go on sale August 1 and will be available at the following locations; all three messes, Mess Admin Office, RCA Museum, and the Carberry Legion. You will also be able to reserve tables for of ten or more by emailing shiloserviceclub@gmail.com.
