Departments have been asked to find $500,000 in savings as the shortfall is blamed on extra costs for downtown security, annual library grant & revenue losses from the closure of the Sportsplex and lower supplemental taxes.

-Argos & Blue Bombers can become the first 2 CFL teams to secure post-season berths this week. Toronto hosts Montreal, while Winnipeg needs a home victory over SK.

-The Wpg Jets announced single-game tickets for the 23-24 season go on sale at noon Friday. The Jets host former head coach Paul Maurice & the Stanley Cup runner-up Florida Panthers in the home opener Oct. 14.

-Jess Moskaluke brings her Winter Wonderland Tour to Brandon’s WMCA Dec 4 and the Watson Art Centre Dauphin December 5th.
