-May 29, a 16yr old who threatened another teenager at a Brandon school while carrying a machete & bear spray was located Saturday at the fair & taken into custody.
-A 29yr old Winnipeg woman told friends in video call she hit tree with vehicle, but hasn’t been heard from since: MB RCMP. Brittany Dawn Storey was last heard from near Rennie, however police have patrolled the area between Rennie & Wpg but found no sign of Brittany or her vehicle, a white 2016 Dodge Journey with the Manitoba licence plate LFR 884.
-Dollarama is investigating after video shows security dragging alleged shoplifter to back of Wpg store. A 32yr old woman was later charged with theft, drug possession: police.
-The 68th Traveler’s Day Parade marched down Rosser Saturday morning; fair ended a fun weekend with Chrome in the Trees, an annual car show on Keystone Centre grounds.

Will Smith is once again King of the Box Office. The fourth installment in the “Bad Boys” movie franchise blew studio and analyst expectations out of the water with a $56 million opening weekend, giving it the second-best opening of the season so far and delivering a much-needed jolt to a so-far-sleepy summer box office. “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes”the only summer film to have better box office sales than “Bad Boys” in its opening weekend initially took in $58.4 million.

The Academy Award-winner surprised fans at a recent screening of his new movie, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, the fourth installment in the buddy cop franchise. He snuck out of the theater to the surprise of many guests who just watched him on the big screen, to a MAYLAY of fans wanting a pic with the star.

WestJet Backlash. Last week we told you that WestJet’s new fare allows them to offer more budget-friendly airfares to more destinations, in something called ULTRA LOW FARES. The question then becomes: how much are you willing to endure to save some bucks while you travel? Because the ban on carry-ons isn’t the only eyebrow-raising feature of the airline’s new service. And people are NOT happy.

It hurt Red Lobster, but other restaurants step up to take a chance. All you can Eat Shrimp is gone, only to be replaces by Buffalo Wild Wings’ All-You-Can-Eat Wings. The deal is reportedly boosting traffic in stores by up to 74%. This as Applebees brings it’s US “All you can eat” Wings, ribs or shimp north of the border!

While Canada is short on the BUFFALO WILD WINGS (Minot ND is the closest) Manitoba has Applebees, which has matched the Buffalo Wild Wings offer (when you count for US Exchange) and has added ribs and shrimp to the offering!
