-Manitoba’s homicide rate the highest in Canada with a per-capita rate of 5-per-100k, or 74 homicides in 2023. This rate is higher than Minnesota, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York (4.8 per 100k)

Saturday the GST holiday takes effect across Canada, and it’s a mess. Government incompetence on full display with a well intended initiative that is simply causing chaos among small business and soon consumers. The holiday only applies to government approved items, and that is where this starts to cause confusion for everyone.

Big fine for Air Canada. A Yukon couple was awarded $10,000 after Air Canada overbooked their flight to Cuba, causing them to miss their long-awaited vacation.
