WORST AIR TRAGEDY in almost 20 years. No one is believed to have survived the midair collision between an American Airlines jet and a US Army Black Hawk helicopter near Washington, DC, with 28 bodies recovered so far. Several figure skaters, including former world champions, were among the 64 passengers on the jet, while three soldiers were aboard the helicopter. The NTSB is leading the investigation, with officials confirming both aircraft were on routine flights.
