Can we quit changing the anthem? It seems every year brings a new twist to O Canada. Maybe it’s time to let the anthem stand as it is — and keep the focus on singing it, not rewriting it. Twice in 3 World Series Games is a little much.

The word of the year for 2025? Is not a word. Food of the year is a hacksaw. Merriam-Webster says “the word of the year” isn’t even a word — proving 2025 is officially off the rails.

Nothing makes sense anymore. If the word of the year is a number, up is down and black is white and we live in “upside down land”. Apparently having a boyfriend or girlfriend is considered a bad thing now?
