Leon’s Headlines Jan 9: Carberry crash report released by the MB government in Dauphin yesterday will look at several options to improve safety along the Trans-Canada Highway where a crash last summer left 17 people dead. $12M will be spent on one of 3 options: roundabout, median widening, or U-turn. Further public consultation will be needed.
-RCMP investigation into the crash was sent to MB Prosecutions to determine if charges should be laid. Families were told the report was submitted to the Crown Jan. 4, after a 6 month investigation. A Crown decision could take several months.
