Was the CHANGE ACCEPTED as CASH? Yes. Local Customer Service Drama Tuesday when a woman apparently had difficulty having some chance accepted at a local supermarket. A customer behind her was rather frustrated and took to social media to share his experience. We followed up and eventually her money was accepted. However it looks like this is less about a move to a cashless society and more of a customer service/social media training opportunity. It goes without saying, the cost of living crisis has everyone feeling less than cheery right now. 🙁 (Below is Lana addressing the OP from Steve on FB)

THANKS for your response Lana and clarifying the store DID take the loonies, and some customer service and social media training will likely be coming for some staff I’m thinking. (From Facebook)

Business does NOT have to TAKE CASH. And while customer service training and a review of policy may happen in this case, it’s important for us ALL to REMEMBER to BE KIND, and that ANY BUSINESS anywhere does not HAVE to accept currency. It is in everyone’s best interest they do, but many are now going cashless and it’s withing their right to do that. And there’s some that ONLY accept cash.

THE WINNIPEG JETS ARENA? Cashless.

More Questionable customer service: American Airlines Passenger On $2,000 Ticket Denied Boarding Over Skimpy Attire. An American Airlines passenger says she purchased a $2,000 ticket but was denied boarding over the clothing she was wearing.

And now Fast-Food Restaurants are adjusting the experience on customers. Fast food restaurants are increasingly imposing time limits.
Fast-food restaurants are known for their speedy service. But some establishments are making the dining experience even quicker to process more customers faster.

GOOD NEWS CUSTOMER STORY: Heartwarming Kindness From A Southwest Airlines Gate Agent. Usually, when an airline employee is captured on video by a passenger it is not because they are being nice. But a Southwest Airlines gate agent was captured on video for her display of kindness and it is truly a heartwarming.

When I notice people going the extra mile in life, I like to acknowledge them because in today’s world we need to remember that there ARE good people. Why Airlines Warn Passengers Not to Retrieve Cell Phones That Fall Between Seats. Flight attendants prefer to help when this happens, and there’s a reason why.

Is It Dangerous To Cook With Hot Tap Water Instead Of Cold? Using the hot water tap to get a jump start when boiling water seems like a clever shortcut, but there’s an unexpected downside that is better avoided. Who knew?
