LA FIRES NOW 24 confirmed fatalities, with 16 attributed to the Eaton Fire and 8 to the Palisades Fire. The fires have burned over 40,300 acres, destroyed more than 12,300 structures, and led to the evacuation of approximately 150,000 residents. Containment efforts are ongoing, with the Palisades Fire at 13% containment and the Eaton Fire at 27%. Authorities are preparing for the return of strong Santa Ana winds, which could exacerbate the situation.
