After TikTok shut down in the U.S., it CAME BACK! thanks to President-elect Trump’s efforts to invoke a 90 day extension to keep the app operating as susual. Securing its long-term future in the U.S. remains complicated. The only permanent solutions to keep TikTok online are passing a NEW law reversing the ban, or forcing a sale to an acceptable buyer, with potential buyers including a group led by Frank McCourt and Kevin O’Leary, and PerplexityAI, although ByteDance insists it has no intention of selling due to TikTok’s valuable algorithm. May 1st, is another deadline fast approaching, and it’s up to Chinese owned Byte Dance to decide of it’s time to sell at least 50% of the company to North American ownership. If it doesn’t sell, the app will meet it’s end, only this time permanently.

The Memes and Tweets were outstanding. TikTok was banned for a few hours, leaving users in withdrawal, but Twitter has stepped in with funny tweets to fill the void.
