Blood Red Moon was visible in Westman last night at roughly 2am. The “Blood Moon” phenomenon colored the full moon in red, orange, and yellow during a total lunar eclipse. This happens when Earth blocks most sunlight from reaching the moon, allowing only longer wavelengths like red and orange to pass through the atmosphere. The event, known as the “Worm Moon,” was visible across Canada, the US and across the Western Hemisphere.
