The heavy snow will start Friday night and continue through Saturday night. A developing low pressure system tracking along the international border will spread accumulating snow into southwestern Manitoba Friday night. Moderate easterly winds with this disturbance will produce areas of blowing snow on Friday night and into Saturday afternoon, which could result in deteriorating travel conditions. Additional warnings or advisories may be needed should forecast wind speeds or snowfall amounts increase further. The snow will taper off Saturday night. Watch for further updates and please drive with caution when hitting the highway this weekend. BELOW IS THE LATEST FROM BISMARCK WEATHER RADAR and Canada’s Weather Network:

FOOD is MOST Expensive in Manitoba and Saskatchewan! This is an award NOBODY Wants to WIN! Below is a link to the report from CTV Winnipeg showing how a basked of common items costs more in Manitoba than anywhere in Canada, and is one of the most expensive places to buy food in North America! CRAZY!

Here’s Cody and his FARM!

We’re a show about FOOD, FUN PLACES and the MAYHEM of life. But Food is soooooooo expensive! Guess who wins the award for highest grocery prices in NORTH AMERICA? MB/SK. Because we are so far from “food friendly growing climates” and production facilities, the cost of our food is some of the most expensive! Could growing our food 12 months a year be the solution? But how? Cody from Neo Nutes, an urban farm in Brandon, joined the show about his amazing operation of fish and fresh food! He works to produce fresh micro greens by using a sustainable organic food production, known as aquaponics. Aquaponics combines aquaculture (raising fish) with hydroponics (growing plants without soil) so that the nutrient rich aquaculture water is fed to plants, thus creating a symbiotic relationship. Translation: Good food that’s a good price and good for the environment. Need I say more?

Westman Volleyball Club is a not-for-profit youth sports organization, currently in its 12th season fundraising to cover bus costs for three teams to travel to Calgary for Best of the West and Nationals tournaments this spring. It is a great opportunity for people to support local youth sports and win some money in the process! The pot was at over $3000 and growing when we checked in with Payton Oakden & Katey Ward!
