Airport reported 7.6 CM, while less snow was reported east in Wpg, and north of Dauphin, where the storm had much less impact. Wind and blowing snow caused very poor driving conditions.  | Dozens braved the blizzard to celebrate Mauritian Independence Day in Brandon Saturday night. | Everything Everywhere All at Once gets 7 Oscar wins including Best Picture. Dayton Ltd. to purchase the Shoal Lake business. | Westman is mourning the loss of a beloved Rivers restaurant after Shelly Moms Kitchen was reduced to a smoking wreck when it caught fire early Friday morning. | Canada’s Flair Airlines cancels multiple flights after 4 planes seized over ‘commercial dispute’. The airline says it will use additional fleet capacity. | Brad Gushue successfully defended his Canadian men’s curling championship on Sunday with a 7-5 win over MB’s Matt Dunstone in London, Ont. Today is March 13th which means its Commonwealth Day, Donald Duck Day, Dribble to Work Day, Earmuff Day, Fill Our Staplers Day
K-9 Veterans Day, Ken Day, National Coconut Torte Day, and National Good Samaritan Day. In case you missed the Oscars, here they are in 4 minutes flat!

Hollywood’s big night, but a big night for a Manitoba businesswoman who had product in the coveted loot bags. Christine Steele-Berehulka from Blush Silks joined the show to talk about that it was like to have her pillowcases in the Oscar Giftbag!

Blush Silks’ pure silk pillowcases were featured in the “Everyone Wins nominee gift bags”, presented to 27 Oscar nominees in the five major categories: best actor and actress, best supporting actor and actress and best director. Some of the nominees on this year’s gift list included Angela Bassett, Jamie Lee Curtis, Austin Butler, Colin Farrell, Brendan Fraser, Cate Blanchett and Steven Spielberg and the host of the Oscars himself Jimmy Kimmel, will also receive a gift bag. Christine designed a personalized gift box for each recipient and a handwritten note congratulating them on their success.

I had the chance to go to the Dolby Theatre and today we’ll go on a tour. Would you believe it’s in a shopping mall? And it’s right across the street from where they tape the Kimmel show. Hard to believe they just cover up the shopping mall with fancy cloth and roll out a giant read carpet. Couple of tents and some bleachers and voila! You have the oscars. The area of downtown Hollywood were the telecast is held is not much bigger than downtown Brandon!
