WINTER STORM WARNING– Heavy snowfall with blowing snow is expected. 15 to 40 cm of snow and periods of blowing snow beginning early Wednesday. A low pressure complex developing near the Canada/U.S. border will spread heavy snowfall into southeastern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba. The snow will be heaviest on Wednesday morning, but accumulating snowfall will persist into Thursday for many locations. In addition to the snow, winds as strong as 50 gusting 70 km/h will produce periods of blowing snow as well. Please stay tuned to weather.gc.ca for updates and be prepared for changing conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight. On the BIRGHT SIDE-ALL that WATER in CALIFORNIA has not only ended the drought, it’s brought out incredible color! California has been drenched in color as super blooms of vibrant wildflowers are seen bursting across the landscape from outer space after a winter of torrential rains sated the drought-stricken state. The colorful spectacle was captured on images released by Maxar Technologies, showing a flood of vibrant orange, yellow and green covering parts of Palmdale, California, on April 10. Other images showed bright wildflowers along Shell Creek Road in Santa Margarita on April 9, and bursts of color in the normally arid Carrizo Plain National Monument on April 4. And like how he bought Twitter, Elon Musk is going after popular artificial intelligence chatbots again, claiming that they’re biased towards liberals while simultaneously announcing to launch his own version called “TruthGPT.” Sounds familiar? Former United States President Donald Trump launched his Twitter alternative “Truth Social” to counter the same so-called bias. Elon is also worried about AI “destroying the world as we know it.”
