-2 children, bus driver rushed to hospital after a gravel truck hit school bus with 20 on board. The children have non-life-threatening injuries while the driver has serious injuries. This is the 2nd bus incident in a week in MB, after a 6yr old Girl was struck by school bus in Steinbach and seriously injured.
-The historic Windsor Hotel in downtown Winnipeg has burned to the ground and will be demolished: fire department.
-MB’s most recent crop report for harvest says the numbers are just over 50%, an increase from the five-year average of 42%. Winter wheat, fall rye and field peas are completed. | Union representing striking MPI workers wants conciliator brought in. 1,700 walked off the job over 2 weeks ago.
-Skid Row has postponed its upcoming tour, including an Oct 21 stop in Brandon. The band will reschedule its stops in 16 cities, including Brandon.
-The Brandon Wheat Kings sign 10yr lease agreement with the Keystone Centre, plan improvements to the fan experience.
