-A man is dead after the combine he was driving rolled in the RM of Riding Mountain West Nov. Police said the driver, a 55-year-old from Roblin was driving south on PR 592 when an icy downhill caused the combine to slide into a steep ditch, where it rolled onto its roof and into water.
-Brandon City Counselor Bruce Luebke gave notice at Monday’s Council meeting he intends to introduce a motion asking for an investigation into financial relief for those affected by recently-approved hikes in water rates.
-MB Transportation and Infrastructure reports construction on #1 at the interchange on the west side of Portage has progressed to the point of allowing a phased reopening of all traffic lanes. Work is expected to be completed by Nov. 14, when it will be fully opened to traffic in both directions.

The RBC Convention Centre Remembrance Day Service doors open at 9:30 and the public is asked to be seated by 10:30 a.m. The service is scheduled to begin at 10:40 a.m. The Winnipeg Rifles host a service at Vimy Ridge Park, 821 Preston Ave at 10:30 a.m. Legion No. 4 – St. James Branch service is at Bruce Park at 10:45 a.m., with a parade down Lyle. The legion will have a bus leaving at 9:45 a.m. to take members to the park. The Transcona Legion parade at its branch (177 Regent Avenue West) starts at 10 a.m., and finishing at the East End Arena, where the service will take place at approximately 10:30 a.m. Those wishing to participate in the parade are asked to arrive by 9:30 a.m and the South Osborne Branch No. 252 hosts at the Legion building (426 Osborne St.) at 10:45 a.m.
Brandon
Branch No. 3 in Brandon Remembrance Day Service will go at the Keystone Centre. The service begins at 10:45 a.m.
Portage
Legion Branch No. 65 in Portage la Prairie will host its service at the Stride Centre. The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m.
Stonewall
Legion Branch No. 52 in Stonewall will host a Remembrance Day service at 11 a.m. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.
Steinbach
Legion Branch No. 192 hosts at the Pat Porter Active Living Centre. The service will begin promptly at 10:45 a.m.
